American College of Technology offers a Technical Diploma in Business Administration and Information Systems for students who want to develop their understanding of information systems and utilize algorithms and concepts in technology. Through the program, individuals will learn how information and technology is utilized by organizations to function more efficiently at a lower cost and develop new streams of revenue.
Students will study specialized material relating to computer software and hardware in the utilization of information systems for business purposes. Those classes include information technology and distance learning, integrated business applications, Microsoft excel, relational database management, website design and development, business office procedures, and more.
Graduates of the program will have demonstrated the qualifications of the utilization of information systems to provide business service. These qualifications include but are not limited to: the ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline, to demonstrate the ability to analyze a problem and identify the computing requirements appropriate to its solution, to demonstrate the ability to identify and analyze user needs, and to effectively integrate IT-based solutions into the user environment.
