Psychology is one of the most useful and versatile fields of study that are available to students today. Studying psychology not only teaches students the complex intricacies of the mind, but also how social interaction and relationships work. An individual well versed in psychology can easily apply these teachings to any career in which human interaction is at the forefront.

It is with this in mind that Alvin Community College offers the Associates of Arts in Psychology degree. This program will take students through several of the major pillars of psychology. Students will examine psychological theory as well as peer-reviewed research findings to broaden their knowledge of the various interactions that control how we react to our environment. This program is ideal for students who wish to pursue an advance degree in psychology, or for anyone who wishes to use the skills taught to enhance their life.

Alvin Community College offers this class completely online. The curriculum consists primarily of psychology classes, including general psychology, child development, statistical methods and social psychology. General classes such as English, mathematics and natural science are also required for completion of the course.
