Program Details

The online Certificate in Medical Office Assistant is designed for students interested in learning about the necessary skills for working in a medical practice from an administrative and assistant standpoint or those who are interested in learning how to provide clinical and administrative assistance to physicians and other medical personnel.  Courses teach students about medical coding and help them develop their clinical, administrative, and communicative abilities.  The curriculum also looks at the business functions of medical offices and develops the students’ understanding of administrative and assistant responsibilities.


  • High school transcript or proof of GED completion and scores
  • Official transcripts from any other colleges attended
  • ACT or SAT scores if taken (if not taken or scores are more than 3 years old, an ACCUPLACER test is required)
