Program Details

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing for Film, Television & Digital Media is a combination online fine arts degree and online creative writing degree that teaches visual storytelling from the ground up.  With this program, students have the opportunity to tap into their imaginations, find their unique voices, come up with great ideas, and take their writing skills to the next level while working with Academy and Emmy Award-winning writers, producers, and development executives.  The curriculum provides the skills needed to develop engaging characters and scripts while also teaching basic production realities such as how directing and acting enhance the writer’s work.  You will receive personalized attention to your ideas with an emphasis on industry expectations and standards in a rigorous, supportive writing workshop environment.  Students will explore original and adapted feature films, television comedy and drama, short films, and writing for other forms of digital media, learning how to option and package projects for the creative development marketplace.
