Note: Data is based on Fall 2003 survey of 120 accredited distance-learning MBAs undertaken by GetEducated.com, LLC.

"Clear trends were revealed in our Fall 2003 survey," notes GetEducated.com’s CEO Vicky Phillips, who has been tracking online degrees since 1989. "First, students have an amazing amount of choice when selecting an online MBA ~ 120 choices, in fact."

"The range students can expect to pay for an online MBA is also staggering," comments Phillips. "Among the least expensive are bargain buys from state universities, such as California State University Dominguez Hills and The University of Texas System."

Students can enroll in these state universities and earn a distance MBA at less than half the cost of newer, for-profit, brand name competitors such as the University of Phoenix.

"However," Phillips continues, "because many state university systems invest so little in advertising many consumers are simply not aware that schools like California State University offer bargain-priced, Internet-based degrees that can be earned from any state in the nation."
