Well known and respected in the Detroit area, and the professors bring real-world experience to the classroom. I'm an older student, and the program also allows for full student input, thus enhancing the "experience " factor. I think this works very well for all MBA students. Also, the class offerings are plentiful, and overall cost is very affordable. I recommend Walsh to anyone looking for a "full" MBA experience.
Pretty expensive, however the ability to complete the entire degree online is worth the cost. There are other online programs, but none compare to Walsh on terms of academic toughness.
Walsh College has opened many doors for me professionally, and has prepared me for the business world. They have a ton of great connections and resources that help you find the career of your dreams. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for getting my MBA from Walsh.
I received my master's from Walsh. It is an excellent business school for several reasons:
1. Class size is small. You get to know your instructors and classmates.
2. Many instructors and students work in the business field, so they are knowledgeable and have practical real-world experiences. In many cases, this helped with classroom discussion.
3. Friendly, professional, and timely customer service.
4. When I attended, there was a heavy focus on group projects and presentations. While it was important to me to learn the various facets of business, I found that learning how to work with others was even more crucial. In the business world, you don’t always choose who you get to work with on projects. So you have to work together as a team to get the job done.
The MBA degree at Walsh was well worth the time, effort, and expense, as it elevated my business acumen and advanced my career track. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable in their subject areas, and many were inspiring role models. The online course option was very convenient; I found taking one course online and one on ground per semester gave me the perfect balance to school, work, and my personal life. The practical approach to teaching gave me the ability to relate what I learned in class to my life in a very real way. I highly recommend this degree at Walsh.
Walsh College is an established school and the MBA program has 12 different specializations (ex. Accounting, Finance, Information Assurance, etc.) giving students lots of options to study from. That said, the tuition ($750/credit hour) is much higher than many other regionally accredited MBAs, so call the college for details first to see what they have to offer.
