I am grateful for the professors of this university which directed me to this program. I switched from the MMPA degree to the MBA with a specialization in Technology and Innovation.
What convinced me to make the change was the encouragement of the professors to do so, but also the actual specializations of the MBA program.
As I reflect now upon the MBA program and see the additional specializations that are available, I question whether or not they are all needed. It may be a marketing ploy, but perhaps not.
When I was almost completed with the MBA program I had every intent to return and complete additional specializations, but there were two deterrents.
1. the expense a a desire to not go further in debt
2. After spending time in "the real world" I quickly realized that unless I was going to specialize in "finance" there was no need for me to go back and formally study "leadership" or "entrepreneurship". The best teacher in these areas is experience itself!

The curriculum at Walden was very comprehensive and the access to case studies and libraries such as the Harvard Business Review were priceless. Additionally, the books we read were very helpful in expanding my knowledge of marketing and marketing strategies.

I am enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Public Policy and Administration (which is in the Department of Social Science), with concentration in Law. As a former fulltime professor at other colleges, I have evaluated Walden University by way of commonly referred to criteria, and have found this institution to be superior to others I have reviewed.
