Sponsored Description: (The 30-credit UW-Consortium MBA program is designed for business people, engineers, health care providers and others interested in moving ahead in their careers. The curriculum of the Consortium MBA program features four content-integrated, theme-based modules designed to reflect the business cycle. Each of these modules is four credits. In addition, students complete a one-credit leadership mini-module and 13 additional elective credits for their degree. Electives may be 1, 1 ½, or 2 credits based on the subject area and depth of study. Courses vary from 3 weeks to 16 weeks in length, based on the credits involved. While there are no official emphases in the program, electives are designed to allow students with special interests—such as healthcare or project management—to concentrate primarily on those areas. Students who come to the program with undergraduate degrees from non-business areas begin with foundation courses, also available online through the consortium, to fulfill prerequisites before they enter the MBA program. All courses are asynchronous but provide a high level of interaction with fellow students and professors. Assessment is based on discussions, case studies, individual and group projects, and exams.)

The UW MBA Consortium is a flexible program that combines the best of the four schools into one convenient program. The professors and support staff are easy to work with and are concerned about students' success. Favorite thing about the program: Economics classes from Professor Fred Kolb!

The online MBA program is demanding, requiring daily participation in most classes but one has the flexibility of time of day to do the work which is extremely helpful for busy work schedules. I have found the selection of course materials to be of very high quality. To date 5 of my 6 professors have been very effective.

Expensive. Online tools are good. A couple of professors are not very active. Poor choice of text books.

The program is a perfect fit for working adults. And because all the courses are 100% online, it's a smarter, hassle-free way to go back to school. I would highly recommend.

The UW MBA Consortium program has a unique approach to learning -- no three credit courses in sight! You learn by moving through the business cycle in the program core and then pick 1 and 2 credit electives to complete the program.
