University of Washington is constantly going above and beyond in the science department, specifically the Information Sciences. Here students are connected with professors who are there to encourage, push, challenge students with vigorous opportunities that will stretch there knowledge and even there beliefs. Students will every day be stretched in what they think they know and be challenged to research things in a much deeper way than anticipated. I have found students who have graduated from this program with a PhD do not go unnoticed. UW really increases the students awareness of how humans really work, how the business world is operated, and how they can themselves can communicate their ideas effectively. this is an excellent school and choice for the Information Science program. you won't regret your decision!

University of Washington online is an ALA accredited grad library school with a top reputation among librarians. The online MLIS degree requirements (core courses, electives, and culminating experience) are identical to Washington's Residential MLIS program. Courses in the Online MLIS program are equivalent to those in the Residential MLIS program, and iSchool faculty and guest lecturers provide instruction. All core courses are offered both online and on-campus, and most electives are offered both on-campus and online. There are, however, a handful of electives that may only be offered on-campus, while at the same time there are a handful of electives that are only offered online. In addition, while the course delivery mode may differ, an Online student’s diploma will read just as a Residential student’s diploma: “Master of Library and Information Science”.
