With yearly state budget cuts and school district layoffs in Florida this is a great 15 credit program in the ever expanding field of e-Leaning. Participants are challenged in the areas such as Instructional System Design while other core elements of virtual teaching are also taught. A program such as this is much needed and should be considered by every educator who is just beginning their career.
Having been the IT Director for several schools and private school district, it is encouraging to see a certificate program that will surely help teachers with CEUs as well as functional technology tools for the classroom.
The only downside to this type of program is the credit s (15) versus completing a Masters (~30). Because technology resources change frequently, the learner should expect to gain strategy, methodology and philosophies of implementation...not a long list of specific beneficial sites.
