This degree is one of the best values for a distance-based HR masters program. While the university has better name recognition in the southern US, Troy University is a reputable and respected school.
This degree is a great option for HR professionals who need a flexible and affordable graduate education. There are very few online HR programs that even come close to Troy's price range.
I like the school program because it gives the person a chance to get an education online.

I am a proud student of Troy University’s Distance Learning Program offered through Black Board technology. I have nothing but the utmost respect and appreciation of the kinds of opportunities a Troy University degree will provide in the future for me and my family. Troy offers many different degrees online; from Associates to bachelors and finishing with Master’s. Troy now offers a Doctor of Nursing online. The convenience of Troy’s distance learning is 2nd to none. The course work and course syllabus is exactly the same as it would be at Troy’s many brick-and-mortar locations throughout. Instructors are courteous, knowledgeable and have each student’s best interest at heart. One of Troy’s greatest attributes is the affordable tuition cost. Since enrolling four years ago, undergrad tuition has increased twice for a total of only $37… Since joining the Troy family I have become a FANATIC of Trojan athletics. Late in the college season (’07) I attended the Troy vs. Georgia (in Athens) football game and had the time of my life! Although my team ultimately lost the game we put-up a very good fight for 3 solid quarters against a good Bulldog football team. Troy Baseball is also one to see. Two years ago, we almost made it to the College World Series before loosing in the second round. Troy University may be dubbed as a mid major university, inside beats the heart of a true Goliath. To be honest, I'd never heard of this school, but I see they cost HALF what Phoenix wants for an online MBA. So, I am looking. They are a state school - okay by me as I went to Indiana State for my bachelors. They look great on the website. Use the same faculty as on campus. I live in Mississippi so an Alabama school seems solid.
