This is an awesome program. It offers both synchronous and asynchronous online activities, as well as week-long face-to-face meetings which allow students and professors to get to know one another quite well.
This challenging program is based on a cohort model, with a maximum of 24 students per group. It does an incredible job of fostering close bonds of friendship and camaraderie among student participants. Instructors are experts in their fields, and offer their students real-world learning opportunities. The program strongly encourages academic pride and excellence, and students often exceed course requirements voluntarily. Pepperdine's program model is unparelled in the online learning community. Students who complete it leave with a well-deserved sense of pride and accomplishment.
The Pepperdine Learning Technologies program is rather expensive, considering the costs of tuition and fees and costs associated with attending the required week-long face-to-face sessions. However, program costs are on-par with those at schools of equal caliber and reputation.
