Nova Southeastern University’s Master’s of Science in Information Technology in Education offered by the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences is a 36 credit-hour program designed to meet the needs of working professionals such as educators, trainers, administrators, technical support staff, and developers working in the public or private sector. The program blends educational theory and practice into a learning experience that develops skills applicable to complex real-world problems. It enhances knowledge of how computers, software, and other forms of information technology can be used to improve learning outcomes. The program’s online format offers full-time students the opportunity to earn the master’s degree in 12 months and working professionals the opportunity to earn the degree in 16–24 months. Students can earn the M.S. in Information Technology in Education with no concentration or with one of the following concentrations (all require 36 credit hours): Educational Technology Management; Information Security; Instructional Design and Development; and Social Computing and Learning. Each concentration requires three core courses, five additional required courses, and four electives. All courses carry three credit hours.
