I did extensive research but even though I wanted to get my masters from a different university I finally settled on State because of:
1.High-End Accreditation;
2.Value (cost (as in significantly lower cost) and prestige considerations);
3.Exact same assignments and coursework (and syllabus) and Profs as the ‘on-campus’ classes. Diploma looks the same – essentially everything;
4.Length of MBA program i.e. how many classes/credit hours would I have to take – answer: 13 classes totaling 30 credit hours when I went through. Many programs that were in my top 5, like Auburn and FSU, had much longer programs than MSU; 5.Familiarity with some of the Profs – I had two previous Profs give me letters of recommendation to get accepted to grad school and the MBA program. To be completely fair the only thing keeping me from rating my experience an "A" was one bad Professor and a class that was not as challenging as it should have been.
Mississippi State University's Online MBA program seems like a great option! This school is affordable, nationally recognized, and has a good football team. Also, MSU is AACSB-accredited and offers students the ability to choose coursework concentrations.
This program allows students to enter any semester - spring, summer, or fall. Students may sit out a semester if something comes up in their personal lives. Classes are offered multiple times each year. The MSU Distance MBA offers students a flexible and accredited distance MBA program at a very affordable cost.
Everyone at MSU has been very friendly and the education seems top notch. Courses are laid out well and are tailored to the online format. Professors are engaging and content is rich and meaningful. Overall I would highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to pursue an online MBA.
The instructors seem to care about the students and are for the most part extremely good. Several are exceptional. The material and level of difficulty is appropriate. Finally, the classes are offered on a convenient schedule and the tuition is reasonalble.
