Sponsored Description:
Kansas State University offers three online programs in personal financial planning: a master’s degree (42 credit hours), a certificate program (18 credit hours), and a Ph.D. program (summer face-to-face sessions and dissertation required). K-State’s personal financial planning programs are CFP Board-Registered, qualifying graduates to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. Personal financial planners help families and individuals understand financial products, how they work, and the role of the family in making financial decisions, such as saving for college or retirement. K-State’s programs prepare students for careers in industry, banking, retirement planning, estate planning, personnel benefits, real estate, insurance, investments, and consumer affairs. Graduates often find rewarding work in corporations or independent firms. K-State’s personal financial planning programs are available through the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (Great Plains IDEA), a partnership of public universities providing access to the best educational opportunities by collaboratively developing and delivering high-quality, online academic programs.
