The Interdisciplinary Social Science bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University is a versatile and diverse degree that prepares students for roles in many fields. The 120-credit-hour online program focuses on the structures, foundations, evaluation, and interrelationships of society’s institutions, and how they affect and are affected by human behavior. Students study at least four social science disciplines, out of nine possible areas: anthropology, economics, geography, history, mass communications, political science, psychology, sociology, and women’s studies. This degree provides general preparation in research skills, communication skills, teamwork experience, writing skills, computer competency, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, broad bases of knowledge, and informed perspectives about the world.
