Like many other people I had done my previous education the traditional way at a ground campus. Mine was with the British military so it was very regimented and intense. When I decided to get a US degree I did not want to be fixed to a weekly routine of class work two or three evening a week so on-line was the obvious choice. Iowa College was not the first on-line collage I enrolled in but it was the one that I got my degree from. Iowa had the degree I was interested in plus had great reviews. When taking the classes I found the reviews were well founded. Although the work was demanding, the instructors were very knowledgeable and supportive. The class format, with online interaction with other students and instructors through the required postings, meant regardless of the class size ensures you are part of the class; unlike some ground schools were you might not interact as well as you are one of many for your 2 hour session. I took the Computer Networking Technology program and found it very “hands on”. You are working on actual systems plus build a computer from parts so it is very much like being in a computer lab. The only difference is that the lab is in your home and during the course it is open 24hrs a day for your convenience. During my course I traveled back to the UK for a few weeks, classes being on-line enabled me to continue, the time difference was not a problem. I would recommend any of the Programs at Iowa Central Collage, as I am sure like me you will enjoy the experience and support from everyone at the Collage, from the start of your enrollment to when you graduate.
