This school is in my backyard so I can tell you what employers and others think of IU. IU is often cited as a Public Ivy or a publicly funded school that is "low" in cost but "high" in academic quality. If you live in Indiana and want the best college at the best price the debate is always: IU OR Purdue. My nephew used IU'correspondence division to complete his high school studies years ago. (They have a high school degree program thry distance studies, also.) My best friend took a distance learning course in discrete math to bolster her computer science skills. Both spoke very highly of the courses, faculty and support staff. There are many online colleges with names you don't know or trust. IU is NOT one of them. This is a great school respected nationwide which has been offering distance education courses for more than two decades. Well worth exploring in an age when so many unknown and fly by night colleges are jumping onto the online education bandwagon.
