Sponsored Description:
The Online Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) at Georgia Southern University made its debut in the fall of 2008 as one of the first online masters programs in economics. The MSAE is a 30 credit- hour program with 100% of the course work delivered online and features a rigorous core curriculum consisting of Micro-economic Theory, Macro-economic Theory, International Trade Theory, and Econometrics. Students choose two of the three fields of specialization in Regional Economic Development, Financial Economics, and Industrial Organization. Graduates are expected to be competitive for employment in private enterprise, including financial institutions, industry, and utility companies and governmental organizations engaged in regulation and economic development. We also offer the Graduate Certificate in Applied Economics (GCAE), which allows professionals interested in teaching the opportunity to meet the SACS Faculty Credentials requirement of 18 graduate hours in economics, without completing the 30 hours required for the MSAE. We offer a high-quality program with courses designed and taught by Georgia Southern’s internationally recognized faculty. We are accredited by the AACSB, ensuring the quality you expect. Advancing your career no longer has to interrupt your professional or family life. No campus visit required.
