I have attended Framingham State College as an on campus student. At the time this school was mostly a commuter school (which I was). It is known for being the "first normal school" in the United States - in plain English they were the first to educate teachers. It was a good school in comparison to other state schools. After receiving my bachelors degree I went on to obtain my masters as well. I would recommend this school.

Many of the professors are not qualified to teach in their field - i have had very few professors that actually cared and helped me find out about my education and future options. I majored in Food and Nutrition and all of the staff in this field were mean and uncaring of the students - my time at Framingham State has made me hate a subject i once loved. I have, however, taken a few art classes were i loved both the professors and the class( i dont know much about other fields besides bio and chem were their are a mix of decent and poor professors). Dorms are either too cold or too hot and the hours for gym, library and food court are very limited - so everyone goes home on weekends. Need to spend more money on fixing up the laboratories and science equipment so we can actually have decent labs rather than spend it on signs and dormitories. Not enough options for classes - often there is only one professor teaching a class which many majors need, so if you prefer a teacher with a different type of teaching style (rather than reading off of PowerPoint slides and telling you to read the book when you have a question) than your screwed. People are very cliquey and the atmosphere of the students on campus is similar to highschool.
