It is relevant to the HR career I want to proceed, and it is quite affordable. I come from a developing country, and I am motivated to take quality masters program recognized by international employers.

I am extremely happy with this program, in terms of affordability, syllabus, learning, and faculty. I would highly recommend this Fort Hays State program to other students. I am currently in the second semester of study and I am really satisfied with the HR program online.

I appreciate having the opportunity to take courses online; otherwise I would not be able to complete my degree. But I have not been impressed with some of the instructors. Some use online tools for homework and tests and I didn't have ANY contact with the instructor. There is no communication, feedback or support. I feel I am on my own and have to learn the information myself or fail. Other instructors, though, have been thorough and timely with their communications and teaching. Some of the group course material has been extremely challenging because of students in different time zones, and with conflicting job and family schedules. While I think student-to-student interaction is useful, some courses have had way too many group projects and it always seems only one or two people end up doing all the work. Overall, I would recommend this program based on flexibility, but the teaching has several areas that could be greatly improved. The advisor has been extremely helpful and friendly. She has answered all my questions very timely and has offered suggestions to help guide me through the program.

The program was a reflection of the on campus program. It was through and difficult but meaninful. I feel I gained the same education I would have if I had been in the classroom. I did miss the personal experience and interaction with the staff and students but with my schedual I was able to complete the MBA I wanted.

I was hesitant to start an online program because I’ve always attended classes on a campus. After several semesters though, I would have to say I am quite pleased with the MBA online program at Fort Hays State University. The professors, for the most part, keep up with you weekly and offer valuable feedback on your work. When I do have questions or problems with the work, they are just an email away and always answer promptly. The other only students are a great resource as well. In almost all of my classes I feel free to speak with any of them. Overall, it has been a good experience. For those students who are unable to attend a physical class setting and want to further their education with an MBA, I would definitely recommend this program.

The online program helps me fit the schooling in with my full time job as an engineer. The online libraries and tutoring are right on. Any extra training or research is made fluid. I would recommend the online MBA program at Fort Hay State University.

When paying $400 per unit, I expect to have some actual instruction. Instead, many of the classes have been almost self-taught with little or no instructor involvement. They have no involvement in discussions and do not even take the time to create or grade student works. They take a cookie-cutter software and rely solely on that. I can go to a library and get the same book, go on the publishers site and watch powerpoints, and take practice exams. So what are these instructors being paid to do? Who are they instructing?

So this review is for the department. The MBA advisor has been great! She consistently maintains communication with the students and guides them on their journey. My feelings on the department overall is that they stand behind the teachers. I have made several complaints about the instructors and have had no feedback or follow-up. This leads me to believe that the department and school want my money but then do not want to service their customer. Up until my MBA program here, I spoke highly of FHSU. Since my experience with the MBA program has been lackluster, my opinion has now changed. $400 per unit is alot of money to flush on an MBA with little to no service from the department.

I work full time and the flexibility of the online program at FHSU makes it possible for me to complete my MBA online becoming more valuable to my employer while providing for my family. My professors are always available to answer any question that I have even when it is outside of what is found in the textbook. Many have real world experience and are able to combine them with what is covered in the text building the bridge between textbook knowledge and how to apply it in the workplace.
