Sponsored Description:
Electronic health records are fast becoming a growing trend in the medical community. You can become part of this new advancement in patient care with an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology. Our degree combines the disciplines of medicine, management, finance, law and information technology, which gives our graduates the opportunity to have careers in variety of traditional and non-traditional healthcare settings. Dakota State University is a leader in applying computer technology to higher education and this includes our Health Information Technology program. We utilize an advisory board of health information professionals to provide input into the curriculum in our health information technology program. Our students utilize the latest software programs through the Virtual Lab of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Online courses also allow our distance students to work with on-campus students through webcasts and learning management tools. Our programs are also CAHIIM accredited and 94% of our graduates in 2011 received jobs or continued their education. Technically, we’re better.
