DSU’s programs are designed in a 2+2 format that provides for progression from the A.S. to B.S. degree for those interested in career development Dakota State University offers an Associate of Science degree program in Health Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree program in Health Information Administration. Graduates of these nationally accredited programs are eligible for the American Health Information Management Association’s certification exams to become credentialed health information management professionals. Coursework is scheduled on a semester basis and utilizes web-based text, video, and audio to present instructional materials. The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree program in Management Information Systems provides graduates with a solid background in computer technology as well as a solid foundation in the core competencies of business administration. The Associate of Science degree program in Business Management provides a broad background in many of the business administration core competencies. The Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Information Systems provides graduates with a strong background in both computing and business administration. Students develop a strong understanding of computer operating systems, database applications programming, and online system applications. The Associate of Science degree program in Application Programming provides instruction in basic principles of problem definition, logical design, and structured programming.
