Dakota State University’s Bachelor of Science in Education, Elementary Education/Special Education degree is designed to provide future teachers with essential knowledge, skills and attitudes to work effectively with students who are mentally, physically and/or emotionally challenged in K-8 or K-12 inclusive, resource or self-contained settings. This is along with the ability to qualify for certification in elementary education for grades K-8 and an Educational Technology endorsement. We provide you with the fundamentals in teaching with emphasis on how to teach in the digital age. A true testament to the quality of our program is that we placed 100% of our 2011 graduates in either a teaching career or continuing education. Same quality education since 1881, now revamped for the digital age. Technically, we’re better.
