Sponsored Description: Dakota State University started as the first teacher education institution of the Dakota Territory in 1881. For over 125 years, DSU’s College of Education has been dedicated to building a reputation for preparing high-quality K-12 teachers. We have taken years of curriculum development in the classroom, and brought it to you in an online format that makes learning more convenient without sacrificing quality. Our teacher education program adopts a conceptual framework composed of six core values which are aligned to the College of Education’s vision and mission. We ensure future educators have the knowledge, skills and dispositions to help students learn, develop and reach their fullest potential. We also believe that our teachers need to be prepared to meet new challenges in the classroom and be able to lead the process of technological change in the classroom. All of our teacher education graduates earn an endorsement in K-12 Educational Technology due to our intense computing preparation. Same quality education since 1881, now revamped for the digital age. Technically, we’re better.
