Designed for board-certified music therapists, this master’s degree program offers advanced training in neurologic music therapy, music, research methods, and neuroscience. The degree prepares you to use a variety of evidence-based techniques to address sensorimotor, speech and language, cognitive, and psychosocial behavior. Learn to work with people who have neurological disorders such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Autism, developmental disorders, and multiple sclerosis. You will also learn how to develop treatment programs for your patients that involve singing, listening, creating, and moving to music, and be able to take a central and independent role in these client treatment plans.
