When one thinks of "business" an all too common reaction is that business is bad, or that it is stuffy. Today we watch television shows like Madmen and assume the corporate world is the only place to work.
An impressive specialization of Champlain College's BSBA degree is the Game Production focus. Most often these programs are only available through specialty schools such as Fullsail. This is unfortunate as speciality schools present a pricey program combined with an overwhelming amount of competition to hide under or get swept away by.
This program however allows the learner to practice managing and leading project based business delivery in a more personalized setting.
I believe there are a number of good certificate programs available and based on the field and industry some can be very beneficial but I do not believe this is one of them. If you are seriously interested in starting a small business get your "education" at the library or online (blogs, podcasts etc.) FREE. If you still have concerns about accounting or marketing for your business consider a course at your local community college. There is nothing note worthy about the Champlain College program except for the cost.
