This is a top notch program. I had been a Ph.D. in business student in an Ivy League Business School many years ago and had to drop out because of personal/family reasons. I think that the Business program at Capella was actually better than the Ivy League program. The emphasis on writing and research was exceptional, the curriculum was well-designed, and the instructors were dedicated to making the online experience as personal as possible. I would not advise someone to take this program unless they are prepared to work very hard and do much outside reserach. I did not want to have to attend the residencies at first, but actually attended one extra one during the program because I found them so rewarding and helpful.

I had a really good experience with Capella's PhD program. It wasn't as easy as I had first assumed. It is definitely a quality program for those who work and/or cannot be at the typical classes due to time management reasons.
But please do not think you are going to get away with never being face-to-face with your professors, I had to spend a total of 120 hours in some form or fashion amongst the faculty, which definitely was, in hindsight, a great benefit. A+
