I went to the Memphis Campus and really loved this school. Since I was moving out of their area it was recommended I switch to online classes until I got settled and found a new school. When first entering the online school they didn't enroll me in my classes even after several calls to the online office. This later ended up costing me $738.00 that was taken out of my aid for other classes. I sent several emails to them, which all got ignored. I send a mass email to several people in admin of the online classes which also got ignored. I know mistakes happen and even though I was a single mom that has full aid with loans this cost me $738.00 I did not have to spare, but let it go anyway. The instructors in the online classes give little communication, and you are left to figure it out on your own or ask classmates. This was not a big deal to me since these are adult classes. Several months later my Pell grant was not posted to my account so I sent another email that once again got ignored. I sent several to them with no response, but I did get a call from someone that they forward my email to that advised me I would have to talk to the person who had not responded to my email about this issue......that's what I was trying to do. I made calls and left messages until one day the person I was told to contact did call me back. When he called me back about this he advised it was something that he would look into it, then the following week my account showed my Pell Grant and that I owed $1300.00! Of course I go through the emails and calls again just to get this same person who is telling me it's my fault because I don't understand the way their system works. I told him I understand that and I was calling for him to explain that to me. His response was that he had up to 600 other students and did not have the time to explain it to me. He claims I got the money refunded to me and all this came from back in June which was when they came up with the $738.00 I owed and paid back. I never got this money that he was talking about and then was told if I stay at their school that I could pay it off $200.00 at a time from aid, which would me I would have to stay with them the entire time in college. They advised they can only take $200.00 out of my aid each time to pay off the debt. They said the same about the $738.00 which they took all at once. At this point I didn't wont anything to do with the online school any more and knew if I stayed I would owe even more. I told them not to sign me up in any more classes and that I was done with them. So my aid just came in again and of course unlike they said.....they took it all, but $300.00 out of my aid so I now only owe $300.00. I have at this point got my third job before finding out I only owe $300.00 prepared to pay the $1300.00. I get full Pell grant plus loans I have to pay back to cover my school, but yet they still got more out of me then they should. All in all I feel the $1300.00 came out of the blue. I was really ticked off about this person trying to find out what was going on with my aid and after paying $738.00 for their mistake the first time I wasn't going to let it happen again. So what happens? Then I owe $1300.00 which is now down to $300.00. I would call and ask how they applied all the left over money from aid to what I owe after them telling me they can only apply $200.00 each time, but don't want to get charged even more! The Belhaven Memphis Campus was really a gift from God where I kept a 4.0 GPA, but the online classes are a rip off. The online and campus classes are not run my the same people. The Memphis campus with the other staff are amazing.

With a number of study options including traditional (on campus) undergraduate, adult education classes, and online degree classes Belhaven University's School of Business could be a great option for someone seeking a business degree from a Christian University. The school has built a solid reputation over the years and students graduate having received an education that is Biblically focused and that will stay with them for years to come. Unfortunately, like most private Christian Universities costs are high, and a large percentage of graduates tend to graduate with debt.

Belhaven University's online program incorporates a unique approach to learning through their incorporation of "my time online". Many online education degrees do not have the degree of flexibility that "my time" allows. This is certainly a program to be considered by an individual that is passionate about business and furthering their education, yet traditional "specific time deadline" school still do not provide the flexibility that their life demands. Top all this off with the incorporation of a Christian World View and you have a top notch program!
