This is a cheap MBA, but not only in cost. The program is nationally accredited, but not regionally accredited. It's lack of regional accreditation means that it will not be recognized by many employers and government agencies. Although the program is flexible and low-cost, you would probably be better off spending a little more for a program with better accreditation and reputability.

Overall, Ashworth College provides a competent model to educate the online college student. The instructors are helpful, detailed and fair regarding coursework, writing assignments, as well as feedback. One main area of opportunity is the professionalism of the student services department and the school gaining regional accreditation. I believe that the student services staff should be better trained to handle a wide range of student requests to prevent giving misinformation which could frustrate current students. I also believe that if the college's high school is REGIONALLY accredited, they should at least seek that milestone for the college division in which they would grow their enrollment by at least 50% or more. I read many reviews of students who are discouraged by Ashworth due to the inability to have credits transferred to a regionally accredited institution. I know some online schools do accept their credits but increasing the transferability of credits would indeed increase the number of satisfied students. Also one recommendation, if the school is not seeking regional accreditation, then they should at least become ACE approved in which the programs could be evaluated by ACE and then there IS an avenue in which regionally accredited institutions can look at the relevance of the coursework from Ashworth college. Lastly I am glad that they have an annual graduation for students to recognize their achievements. I have recommended to the staff that they have the bachelor's students wear academic hoods like other regionally accredited schools at graduation. Also I have recommended that they classify degree honors by CUM LAUDE, MAGNA CUM LAUDE, AND SUMMA CUM LAUDE, by GPA like my former school Penn Foster. Overall Ashworth is a great value, but I think if they would invest in the recommendations I've listed in this evaluation, I think they can indeed be even better.

I was a student at Ashworth University and I have no complaint about this university. My courses were very challanging and they were not easy at all. I had to submit more than 15 to 19 paper assignment per course. I really learned a lot. My employer paid the tuition for me and increase my salary and got a management position.
