While New Charter University is a newer school having been in existence for less than 20 years that is not a reason to disqualify this from ones MBA considerations. Offering an online MBA at a very reasonable cost the program and offerings from New Charter are worthy of one looking into further especially if a desire is to compete an MBA education quickly and debt free.

After the company I was working for decided to stop paying tuition reimbursement due to the economy I was faced with a decision. I had completed 18 credit hours at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, but the $600 per credit hour plus fees was not in my budget. I enjoyed the program, but an additional $10,000+ to complete the degree was not what I had in mind. I searched for alternatives and quickly discovered that the regionally accredited schools would only accept 6 hours of transfer credit, and their costs per credit hour were high. I did not want to give up the credit I earned just to check the boxes in another program to get back to where I left off. I knew there had to be a better solution and I found it at Andrew Jackson University. The school evaluated my Rockhurst coursework and awarded credit for 18 hours. The cost necessary to complete my remaining coursework was about 20% of what it would have been at Rockhurst. As for the coursework, like everything in life you get out what you put in. I feel I learned more with AJU's online courses as I did in the classroom setting at Rockhurst. One major difference between the two is the discipline required to stay on schedule. In a classroom setting you can expect to have assignments set and due on a routine basis. AJU's online format requires the student to proactively complete assignments and exams. I would recommend AJU to any student looking for an affordable, yet challenging alternative to the traditional MBA experience.
