The Masters in Environmental Policy and Management program was the best academic program I've ever been involved in. The faculty was attentive and helped me to grow as a student.
After reviewing several different Universities that offer a graduate studies in Environmental Science, American Public University is by far the most affordable. In fact, out of state students pay the same price per unit as state residents. This University has one of the best scholarship sites available to potential students looking for funding to help the pay for their education. Moreover, I was impressed by their undergraduate book loaning option, which further reduces the financial burden on their students. Finally, this University offers free registration and a wide assortment of online degrees. For those reasons, I would give them an A rating.

This is a rigorous online masters program that compares favorably with any of the best in-school programs (I already had a MS from Johns Hopkins in business when I enrolled). The faculty is knowledgeable, and the course design very well done. Do expect to spend at least tend hours a week conducting independent research and writing, in addition to assigned reading. If you are self-motivated and well-organized, then this is an excellent degree program, that won't waste your time or your money.
