I like the idea of this online degree program because I have always been interested in health science. I am hoping to pursue something in the health field online, physical therapist, personal trainer etc..
Upon registration there was no one on one call, not even an admission counselor to speak with you in order to discuss your goals. After I started courses the level of communication was not so good. The courses themselves are comparable to other schools. Distance learning through APUS is very distant, no personal attention and you are just a number. I originally chose this school because of convenience, price and for undergraduate programs a plus is that books are included. I've discovered there is more to selecting an online school besides looking at the price. Not sure if I made a good choice on this one.
I just finished my first semester at APU and it was definitely challenging for me. I hadn't been in school for 25 years so I was nervous. My professors were great in helping me to get accustomed to how things are done. They were always readily available to me.
Overall I would give this program a B+. It is affordable, quality education. There are a few areas that I would improve but overall I am generally happy with the classes I have taken thus far. I've learned more in this program then my previous years at a state college that didn't give me the flexibility I needed as a working adult.
