The rates were higher than what I paid because the school is for-profit. They also are not entirely regionally accredited so some of her classes didn't transfer to a state university. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: B+ The school is pretty good; my only issue was that the programs were a little more expensive than other schools. But overall they had a good teaching program. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: A- A friend of mine went here and he said it was great. He wished there were more options for degrees, but really enjoyed his program. He said the professors were very knowledgeable and made the information highly applicable to the real world. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: B+ My cousin went to this school and he said it was good. The psychology classes were frequently available and he didn't have issues logging in or contacting anyone for help. He did pay more than I did for tuition, because it's a for-profit school instead of a non-profit. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: B+ My friend went here for the Business program and while it was a little costly, it was a great degree. She made connections through her professors and secured a job quickly after graduating. She had to wait a while to speak to any counselors or advisors though. But the online format was excellent and she said the professors really seemed to know their stuff. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: B+ My uncle actually completed this program, and while it was fairly intensive, it was highly beneficial. He learned quite a bit and was able to participate in some networking online with colleagues and professors to find possible job opportunities. He works full time, however, so the online format was a huge factor that made it possible for him to do the program. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: A- This is a great school! It's not one who tries to draw students in just to increase numbers, but has genuine advisors who want to help working professionals advance their career or education around their full time schedule. The Psychology program in particular is well-planned, has good availability, and isn't too pricey. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: C+ The classes are good, with good professors who know their stuff, but the cost is higher than other online schools because they're for-profit. Plus, I don't think it's a very respectable school in the eyes of employers; it sounds like a hokey online school. I don't think it's gained the respect that other online universities like Brandman and National have earned. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: D- My friend STARTED to go here, for the Psychology program, but the cost is RIDICULOUS! it's literally twice as much as it cost me to take a class at National University. It is non-profit, too, so where is all that money going? Aside from that, she didn't really get a lot of help or support from counselors when she had questions about how to set up her schedule. But the cost was the main thing. It's insane. Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: B- The teaching program was decent, though more costly than other non-profit schools. There were some on-campus requirements, and you had to have a letter from a church and a statement of purpose to attend. My friend said it was decent but she didn't finish her degree because costs were too high. She transferred to Phoenix but didn't like it there either! Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: B+ My friend actually completed the library science degree (no matter how much we made fun of her). :) She said it was good, thorough, and highly useful. The costs weren't too high and the classes had a decent availability. She was able to complete them while working full time, though they kept her pretty busy. She had great resources though, through the school and through her professors. ![]() Post On: April 6, 2012 Grade: A I think it's a great school. It was the least expensive of the online colleges I looked at -- cheaper than Phoenix by a couple hundred dollars -- and is one of the few NON-profit schools out there. They have a 24 hour student service so my questions or issues are always resolved promptly. The courses were great; I only took one per month, so they're 4 weeks long. It's a fast pace, but you get in, get out, and are done! Forum
