This program lives up to my expectations, and actually is quite better than I had anticipated. The staff is very knowledgeable and supportive, and classmates form a quick bond by their sheer need to lead! The books read like novels rather than manuals (per the norm) and the movies are great to analyze - it really opens up your eyes to everyday situations wherein you can begin to read people, their motives, and maintain risk management. There are great opportunities to attend various lectures and seminars through teleconference; and the weekly chat, while annoying at first, now leaves me feeling refreshed - you have the chance to voice your thoughts and debate with your classmates and professor. The best part is: you actually learn something! I can't recall how many classes I've been forced to take wherein I learned absolutely nothing pertaining to my interests or career field. This program identifies with every student because it is the student who provides the background story, and the theories and principles are applied to each individual; it is encouraged to have varying results and the occasional disagreement. It is also easily completed while working full-time, very manageable and utilizes time efficiently - meaning there is no froo-froo filler junk they teach you or require from you, just simple attendance, weekly chat, and a minimal amount of assignments (in my opinion). I am finishing my 2nd class now, and look forward to the remaining 10. If MSU continues to provide this quality of education, I will expect to see their nationwide reputation advance rapidly. Forum
