Virginia College is a group of private for-profit institutions of higher learning located in the southeastern United States. Students at Virginia College can pursue degrees and certificates in a variety of subjects including business, information technology, criminal justice and many others. Founded in 1983 in Roanoke, Virginia, the college was soon purchased by Education Futures, Inc in 1989. Throughout the next several years, Virginia College expanded by opening several branch campuses, the first of which is located in a suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to its traditional college campuses, Virginia College also offers programs online. Virginia College is accredited through the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. 

Students seeking to enroll at one of Virginia College’s several branch campuses must follow several steps before beginning enrollment. First, students must create a student account online. This is the beginning step for the online application and this account will also enable the prospective student to enroll in classes and pursue financial aid options. Next, applicants are required to provide some personal information. From there, prospective students will complete the online application form. The application fee of $100 can be paid either online or by mailing the application fee. Once these steps are completed applicants can select their degree program and confirm their start date. Students can choose from associates, bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Master’s programs vary by program and can range from around $30,000 to $70,000.
