Program Details

The University of West Florida offers the online Master of Public Health. This degree provides students with a high quality, multidisciplinary perspective on population health sciences for effective practice. Graduates with an MPH degree are prepared to develop, implement, and evaluate effective public health programs for disease prevention and wellness promotion within the communities they serve, with an understanding of the cultural, social, economic, ethical, and legal impacts. The MPH program is designed to respond to the workforce and public health needs of the region, state, national, and global communities. 

The following concentrations are offered:

  • General Practice – This concentration is intended for students and working professional who desire a broad and general training in public health and population health science practice, including translational research. 
  • Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior – This concentration exposes students to current and emerging theories in social determinants of health and behavior, working with diverse populations on a variety of health topics, at nonprofit organizations as well as government agencies.
