Program Details

Online students have the opportunity to earn a Master of Science degree in Social Work through The University of Tennessee-Knoxville.  This program is flexible and accessible to meet the needs of working adult students.  Students have the option of choosing full-time studies, part-time Extended Studies, or the Advanced Standing program.  Coursework may cover but is not limited to:

  • Social Welfare Policies and Programs
  • Macro Social Work Practice
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy    

Courses are presented in synchronous and asynchronous formats, led by the same faculty who teach on-campus.  Studies present culturally relevant and ethically sound social work practices, preparing students to address societal needs as well as the needs of individuals, families, and communities.  Take on a combination of online work and high-quality internship experiences to develop skills in leadership, research, and more with UT online.
