Program Details

Become a Doctor of Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Practice and Leadership through The University of Tennessee-Knoxville online.  This intensive, accelerated program is designed for the working professional, often students returning to school with years of experience as LCSWs.  Studies may cover topics including but not limited to:

  • Neuroscience
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Clinical Management

Courses are available in synchronous and asynchronous models, providing professional practice in a flexible format so as to not interfere with careers.  Studies focus on evidence-based practice, clinical leadership, clinical science, and applied research.  There will be a one week on-campus focused study where students may meet their professors, peers, and develop professional networks.  Engage in providing services to at-risk populations in a variety of settings through intensive, hands-on work through this online DSW program.

  • Hold a Master’s degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education

  • Students must attend an annual week of on campus residency each summer devoted to intensive study and skills practice.
