Students attending Northwest Vista College, in conjunction with Alamo Colleges, can enroll in blended eLearning and fully online degree programs, including associate’s degrees and specialized certificates.
ONLINE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIESThrough Alamo Online, students can complete a two-year transfer program to further academic goals, or complete workforce training degrees. Specific associate’s degrees offered via distance education includes: an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate in Arts in Teaching degree. Degrees are categorized into academic departments of: English and Reading; Fine and Performing Arts and Kinesiology; Humanities; Student Development; Mathematics and Engineering; Natural and Physical Sciences; Social Sciences; Teacher Certification; and Workforce Technical Programs.
The eLearning environment at Northwest Vista is similar in structure to that of traditional, on-campus counterparts. Students communicate with faculty and peers via chat rooms, email, and discussion board forums. At times, students may be required to complete exams on campus. The college maintains an open admission policy.

ACCREDITATIONNorthwest Vista College is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia, 30033. In addition, the school is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and retains programmatic accreditation with the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists.
