Midway University, founded in 1847, is a four-year, primarily female, private, not-for-profit institution located in Midway, Kentucky.The institution is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). 

Midway University offers associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degrees in Arts and Humanities, Business, Equine, Nursing and Science, Psychology, Teacher Education, and General Education. The School for Career Development offers programs to adults in evening and weekend classes. The SCD offers programs in more than 18 sites across Kentucky and online.

Accelerated degree-completion programs for working adults offered online include courses such as Organizational Administration and Leadership, Homeland Security Corporate Management and Assessment, and Teacher Education. Special learning opportunities include: ROTC (Army, Air Force), distance education, and study abroad. Students can earn three associate’s degrees, seven bachelor’s degrees, and two master’s degrees completely online. Open enrollment classes are also offered online.

First-time applicants must submit official high school transcript(s) or GED scores, official ACT or SAT test results, must have a GPA of at least 2.2, and must provide a statement or personal interview upon request. Transfer applicants must provide official prior college transcripts for all colleges attended, official ACT or SAT results, and a statement or personal interview if requested. Students are recommended to have a minimum of 18 on the ACT or 860 on the SAT, a GED score of 50, and a minimum GPA of 2.0 to apply.

The majority of financial aid is based on a student’s documented financial need. To determine financial aid eligibility, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using Midway College’s school code 001975. After completing the FAFSA, students and the college will receive a Student Aid Report from the federal processing center.Forms of financial aid available include Federal and State Grants, Federal Workstudy, Federal Stafford Loans, student employment, and Federal PLUS Loans.
