School Details

Marywood University is a four-year private school located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. MU is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and was established in 1915 by the Congregation of Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The school was the first Catholic college for women in the state.

Marywood faculty and staff seek to allow students to discover their passion and realize their purpose. The university offers more than 80 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Undergraduate students complete a foundation in liberal arts while immersing themselves in the arts, sciences, music, fine arts, social work, or healthcare. The school provides online access to distance-learning students pursuing master’s degrees in various disciplines.
