Marshall University is a four-year public school located in Huntington, West Virginia. Marshall was founded in 1837 as Marshall Academy, named for John Marshall, the fourth Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Extended campus sites are located in South Charleston, Point Pleasant, Beckley, Logan, and Gilbert.
