Louisville Bible College is a four-year private school located in Louisville, Kentucky. The school was founded in 1948 to prepare ministers for service to the Church. LBC is affiliated with nondenominational Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. The school only accepts males.
Louisville Bible College offers certificates of completion, associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degrees. Undergraduate majors include: Bible/Preaching, Bible/Missions, Bible/Family, Ministry & Counseling, Bible/Christian Education, and Bible/General Ministries. More specifically, degrees include: Associate of Sacred Literature, Bachelor of Sacred Literature, Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Sacred Literature. Students can also earn a Certificate of Christian Leadership (on campus and online). Graduate concentrations include Practical Ministry and Theology. All coursework is rooted in Scripture and faithfulness to God’s Word. LBC offers online, daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
Every degree-seeking student and all campus residents must participate in the Christian Service program every semester they are enrolled. Chapel is considered a part of every student's regular curriculum and is part of the Christian Service requirement.
Louisville Bible College offers housing on campus to meet the needs of single male and female students who do not live within commuting distance of the College. One-bedroom condo units are available for married students with no children. About three percent of students live on-campus and 97 percent live off-campus.
Nearly 200 students attend Louisville Bible College. Students have access to services such as: remedial tutoring, academic counseling, career counseling, employment services for students, placement services for completers, and on-campus daycare.
Tuition costs $2,350 per year. Financial aid is offered in the form of state grants, federal grants, scholarships, and loans. To qualify to receive financial aid, you must complete a FAFSA form and be evaluated to be in financial need. Approximately 74 percent of those attending Louisville Bible College receive financial aid.
