The College of Saint Scholastica offers a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Information Management (HIM). Designed as a subset of the full HIM graduate curriculum, this program prepares those with a bachelor’s degree for the national Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) exam. 

This online health informatics certificate allows those with a bachelor’s degree to prepare for a career change without obtaining another degree. Through the coursework, students gain the competencies and knowledge to successfully sit for the RHIA exam. Topics of study include:

• Pharmacotherapeutics
• Medicolegal issues
• Health data analytics
• Clinical terminologies and health data standards

This online certificate program in health informatics allows for transfer credits and has no pre-requisites. You can also earn professional experience with an optional completion of professional practice hours.
