Program Details

The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry degree offered by Northwest Nazarene University is an online program that is best for those interested in advancing their career in ministry in the Christian faith.  This is a flexible program that is designed to fit in your fast-paced life by respecting your schedule and experience while allowing you to earn the degree in as little as 36 months.

The curriculum focuses on Wesleyan theology, philosophy, the Bible, scripture, and the church.  You will learn the general content and purposes of major divisions of the Bible, understand and apply principles of biblical hermeneutics by exegeting passages of Scripture and using biblical criticism, and value and relate Scripture to your own spiritual growth and life situations.  Graduates know and can describe key themes of Wesleyan theology, can integrate this theology with pastoral theology in worship and ministry, are prepared to serve as creative and redemptive agents by valuing all persons and creation through love and stewardship, can explain and construct philosophical arguments using sound reasoning principles, and show a personal and spiritual transformation in their lives that includes personal, pastoral, and professional integrity in serving as examples of holiness in heart and life.  Students are prepared to lead, disciple, evangelize, and equip the church for ministry.
