Program Details

The online Associate in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems provides instruction in a variety of topics within areas of computer information systems. Instructors will teach algorithmic problem solving, program design, C++ programming, and computer software. Students will learn how to use information systems in order to make businesses more efficient and competitive. The curriculum will also cover topics such as data warehouses, electronic commerce, information technology infrastructure, and decision analysis.

Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for entry-level positions in the field of computer information systems. Students will be prepared to test for certification in Cisco Certified Networking (CCNA) Associate, Computer Security, Linux Systems, Programmer, Web Design, and Computer Support Specialist.
