Lake Forest Graduate School of Management is a four-year private school located in Lake Forest, Illinois. The school was founded in 1946 through a partnership of leading Chicago businesses as a graduate school of business. Satellite campuses are located in Schaumburg, Illinois, and Chicago, Illinois.
This school offers a Lake Forest Leadership MBA program, graduate-level leadership certificates, and the new 100% online Immersion MBA (iMBA) program, which is a unique virtual-reality MBA program that immerses aspiring leaders in simulated workplace scenarios to rapidly develop critical business skills. These iMBA graduates receive the same diplomas as campus-based students, with no reference to "online." Students can complete their Lake Forest MBA in as little as 22 months, or choose to take up to 46 months. Lake Forest has five 8-week academic terms each year, and an optional 5-week summer session. Courses are offered Monday – Thursday, from 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM, and Saturdays, from 8:00 AM – 11:30AM and 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM. Students who specialize in global business are able to live in selected global cities for up to two weeks at a time, depending on the course. Current courses offered worldwide include global practicums in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Lake Forest Graduate School of Management has 710 graduate students and 130 faculty members. All faculty members teach part-time and all students study part-time. The student body contains 41% female students and 59% male students. The average student attending LFGSM has about 13 years of experience in the work force. The average class size is 22 students.

To be eligible to apply for admission, you must have four or more years of professional work experience, a bachelor’s degree, and be employed full-time currently (although candidates who are unemployed due to the economy are also considered). All candidates must attend an admissions interview. Items that must be attached with an application include: current resume, a transcript from each school attended, two letters or recommendation, and standardized test scores. The deadline for fall applications is July 1.
