Grand Canyon University

Program Details

Gains in video gaming, motion graphics and special effects have all been made through developments in digital design. Enter the next wave of technology with skills in digital design and animation. The College of Arts and Media’s Bachelor of Arts in Digital Design with an Emphasis in Animation degree helps you balance an aptitude for technology with a passion for the creative arts. Core courses in the digital design with an emphasis in animation program inspire you to think critically, act ethically and communicate effectively. In this animation degree program, you can enhance your abilities in drawing, photography and composition and study motion graphics for television and film. Introductory classes in kinematics, typography and visual arts provide the groundwork for your learning. Advanced studies in sculpture, modeling, film production and visual effects prepare you for an accelerated animation and design curriculum. At Grand Canyon University (GCU), learning extends beyond the classroom walls. Digital design students are encouraged to participate in the creative community on campus, including our student design organization and AIGA, as well as establish connections with the larger design community.
