With 20 departments in the arts, humanities, natural and social sciences, and technology, Frostburg State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers a broad range of undergraduate and master’s degree programs. Frostburg is committed to providing students with hands-on, experiential learning for “real-life” experiences, including undergraduate research with faculty mentors, study abroad, and creative performance and production. Our curriculum responds to emerging societal needs and includes interdisciplinary offerings in areas such as ethnobotany, international studies and sustainability. Classes and experiential opportunities are offered in sophisticated, well-equipped facilities, including the new Center for Communications and Information Technology, the Compton Science Center and the Performing Arts Center. FSU offers applied master’s degrees in nursing (online, serving those nurses interested in becoming faculty or pursuing positions in health care administration), computer science, counseling psychology and biology (Wildlife/Fisheries and Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology), all meeting the latest standards of their fields.
